Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Mesi Ayele announces her peaceful passing after a three-year battle with cancer on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the age of 61. Mesi will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, Seyoum, her children, Beniam and Edom, and her sisters Roman and Adinech.

Born in 1962 to a large family in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia, Mesi was a remarkably kind and empathetic woman who brightened the lives of all who she touched, whether through her career as a nurse or serving in her church in Boston ministering to the youth. She remained a faithful Christian for her entire life, and we know that God has called one of His true treasures home.

There will be an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects at John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St, Natick, MA 01760, from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023. A memorial service in memory of Mesi will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at John Everett and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, with a reception to follow nearby.
