Obituary
Michael Gerard Murphy, 70, of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Natick, MA, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Florida.
Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, he was the beloved son of the late John Brainard and Mary Ida (Slavin) Murphy.
Michael was “Foreman of Industrial Fabrication Services” for Snap-on Tools, in Natick, for many years.
He is survived by his three siblings: Arlene Ann Betteridge and her husband, Russell of Barre, MA, Kenneth Andrew Murphy, and his wife, Patricia of Hopedale, MA. and Lois Marie Murphy of Norwalk, CT. and by Elena Murphy, the wife of his late brother, John Patrick Murphy of Medway, MA. Michael is also survived by his four sons: Shaun Murphy, Justin Murphy, Ryan Murphy, and Mark Murphy and his five grandchildren: Liam, Quinn, Avery, Lily, Landon as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 10 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick, MA. Visiting hours are omitted. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Pond St., Natick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
