Nancy Eisenwinter Wilson, Age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, at 10:16 a.m. at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

Born to Carl Frederick Eisenwinter II and Priscila Wensley Eisenwinter in Cambridge MA.  She was raised in Lynn and Swampscott MA. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wheaton College in 1960, she worked at Arthur D. Little.  She met Kenneth Alexander Wilson at Trinity Episcopal Church in Boston and they married in 1962.  After marrying they moved to Locust Valley NY, where they had 4 children and eventually moved back to Massachusetts, this time in Lexington.  When her kids moved on to college and beyond, she settled in Natick MA where she resided until her death.

Nancy lived a life defined by curiosity, generosity, learning, and service to others. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Alexander Wilson and a devoted mother to James Everett-Wilson and his wife Andrea Everett-Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Sarah Barnes and her husband Mark Barnes, and Douglas Wilson and his wife Kristine Wilson.

Nancy's greatest joy was her family. In addition to her four children, she leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Benjamin and Maya Everett-Wilson, Alexander, Katrina, and Branch Barnes, and Maxwell Wilson. Just as she had lovingly raised her own children, Nancy embraced an active role in the lives of her grandchildren, sharing with them her passions for nature, art, music, and, of course, the public library. Through countless adventures, stories, and discoveries, she inspired in them a lifelong love of learning.

After raising her kids, Nancy went back to school and got a Master of Science in Library Science from Simmons College. She combined her love of knowledge with an exceptional gift for organization throughout her career, serving in libraries, museums, and government. Her meticulous work and beautifully distinctive handwriting became hallmarks of her professionalism and care.

Service to her community was a constant throughout Nancy's life. She generously volunteered in schools and church communities, taught English to immigrants, and shared her expertise by supporting school libraries. She believed deeply in the power of education and worked quietly but tirelessly to help others learn and grow.

An avid reader, Nancy found joy in books that explored both nearby places and distant worlds. Reading kept her connected to new ideas, cultures, and experiences, and she eagerly shared that love with those around her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 39 East Central St. Natick on Saturday August 1st at 10am.  Burial will be private.
