Noel Marie (Leavitt) Winslow

Noel Marie (Leavitt) Winslow, 49, passed away on December 27, 2024, just two days after her birthday. Born on Christmas Day 1975 in Millinocket, Maine, to Charles Stedman Leavitt and Christina Leonora Bohnne, Noel brought the same joy and light to the world as her birthday namesake.

Noel shared nearly 20 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Joshua Elliott Winslow. Her journey took her from Sherman and Bangor, Maine, to Essex, Vermont, and finally to Natick, Massachusetts, where she touched countless lives with her extraordinary capacity for compassion and leadership.

Beginning her career with an associate's degree in interior decorating, she moved to technical support and proved to be an accomplished trainer and leader.  Her next step was into IT where she never delivered an implementation behind schedule or over budget and reshaped large, multinational teams to deliver more effectively through treating people humanely.  

Eventually, tired of businesses that didn’t treat their employees with respect, she started a pair of businesses with a close friend that put caring and compassion first.  She guided them to success in their first year while her husband battled cancer, always taking care of her team and their clients.

Despite profound chronic pain, Noel chose over and over again to focus on helping others even at significant personal cost.  She tried every day to show each person that they were important to her and that she cared about them.  She accepted people without judgement and always saw the best in each person.

She loved to travel and would forge close relationships wherever she went.  Through her many trips to the Caribbean, she found she loved Jamaica the most and would delight in returning to catching up with her friends who worked at her favorite resort.   When travelling on business, she’d spend her nights with the hotel staff, ordering-in food and playing cards.  

Noel is survived by hundreds of family, friends, puppy buddies, feline companions, and loved ones into whose lives she brought love, joy, and peace.

Services will be held at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street in Natick, Massachusetts on Saturday, January 11th at 2:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather for refreshments and to visit following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Noel's memory may be made to the Heart Healthy Food Pantry of the Natick Service Council.

Due to immunocompromised family members, attendees are kindly asked to wear masks in the building during services and interactions with the family.
