Patricia Burke Obituary

Patrica DeMambro Burke born April 17, 1935, of Natick and Milton, MA, passed away this past Saturday, November 9, 2024, suddenly from a complex surgical procedure. Spouse of William A. Burke, Jr (deceased) mother to William A. Burke III and Cindy of East Longmeadow, MA, Patricia Burke Fair and Arthur B Fair III of Natick, MA, Michael P. Burke of Boston, MA, Marguerite Burke (deceased), Maura Burke Stroube and Don of Waxhaw, NC, Kara Burke Kochanek and John of Needham, MA and Brendan Burke and Christine of Hingham, MA. She also leaves her beloved twenty-one grandchildren.

Pat, as called by her friends, was raised in Brighton, MA and Chestnut Hill, MA daughter of Joseph and Marguerite DeMambro, sister to Joanne DeMambro Leonard of Stuart, FLA, Mary DeMambro (deceased), Joseph DeMambro of Boston, MA and George DeMambro of Westfield, MA. She attended Mt Saint Jospeh Academy in Brighton, MA class of 1953, then Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY class of 1957, and married her husband at St. Ignatius Church June of 1959.

Pat, at her core, was a devout Catholic with strong faith that she passed onto her family. As a member of St. Patrick’s Parish, her involvement included singing in the choir and participating in the Bible study group.

From starting out as a teacher to getting her real estate license to finally working at Ann Taylor as a sales fashion associate, Pat succeeded at everything she did with her family as her motivation She brought vibrance and style to everything she enjoyed from her Zumba classes to gardening. Her love of music was prominent throughout her life, especially in her joy of singing. A beautiful woman inside and out. She was recognizable at large family parties by her bright colored outfits and a laugh that filled each room with happiness.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 15th at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central St., Natick. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery, Newton.
