Patricia A. Reardon of Norwood passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 at Metro- West Hospital in Framingham at the age of Eighty-three. Patricia was born in Boston to John J. and Catherine P. (Noonan) Reardon. She is survived by her sister, C. Pauline Drew of Natick, and brother, John J. Reardon of Wakefield, as well nephews and nieces Robert Drew, John Drew, Michael Drew, John Reardon III, Erin Miyazaki, and Kathryn Polidoro. In addition she is survived by fourteen grand nephews and grand nieces.
Patricia grew up in Newton Highlands and graduated from Newton High School in 1959 and Emmanuel College 1963. She earned her Master's degree in History from Duke University in Durham, NC in 1964. During her time at Duke she worked as a volunteer teacher in rural Appalachia. She later went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University in 1984. Being forever a student she attended the Life Long Learning at Regis College. For twenty years, Patricia taught History at Norwood High School and Wellesley High School. She later practiced law locally.
Patricia will be remembered for her neverending curiousity and passion for learning. Always one to speak her mind, Patricia was active in her community. She served her community in Norwood as a Town Meeting Member. Her efforts to promote social justice inspired others to do the same. An avid reader, she was a member of the Norwood Public Library Board of Trustees. She also volunteered at the WCC Thrift Shop in Norwood.
Visiting hours at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 8:30 am – 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, in Natick.
