Paul Landry Obituary

Paul Landry was born in 1939 and died on September 14, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, stepchildren Heather Heon and Gregory Maffei, five step-grandchildren, sisters Dorrie Keough and Kathy Geckle, brother-in-law Bob Geckle, niece Sarah Findley, and nephews Beau Geckle and Matthew Bonner.

Paul loved being on the water and pursued a career at the Coast Guard Academy. After suffering an injury, he left the Academy and decided on a career in music. Upon graduating from Boston University, he taught at high schools both in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Later in life, a career change led him to working in, and managing, both Brentano’s and Barnes and Noble bookstores.

Paul was an avid reader and crossword puzzle whiz. His encyclopedic knowledge of sports trivia was a staple at family gatherings. He enjoyed working with his hands making furniture and gifts for family members. He looked forward to summer when he could be on the water taking trips to Nantucket, enjoying yearly family trips to the beach in South Carolina, and spending time in the sun on the deck.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. For online guestbook please visit: www.everettfuneral.com
