Philip S. Hamwey

Philip S. Hamwey of Millis, formerly of Natick, passed away on August 8, 2023.  Loving son of the late Wilbur and Elizabeth (Asward) Hamwey.  Devoted brother of Edward Hamwey and his wife Patricia of Norfolk, Ralph Hamwey and his wife Susan of Uxbridge, Kenneth Hamwey and his wife Pauline of Bellingham.  Cherished uncle of Travis of Worcester, Scott of Boston, Kimberly and Lesli both of Milford, Kari Anne of Franklin, and Kristian of Coral Springs, FL. He is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. 

Philip was a graduate of Millis High School. He worked for an electronics company in Framingham and later for the Trotter Company in Millis, a manufacturer of treadmills. When his parents needed home assistance because of failing health, he devoted all his efforts to care for them.

He enjoyed cooking and sports and was an avid fan of the New York Giants.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Albanian Orthodox Church, 37 Washington Street, Natick on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 12:00 pm. A visitation will be held before the funeral service at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will follow at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick.
