Richard Maguire

Richard (Rick) Maguire, of Waltham, MA, passed away on February 3rd, 2025, at the age of 62. He was the son of the late Richard H. and Estelle R. Maguire. He is survived by his sister, Julie Maguire, and his brother, Michael Maguire. He was predeceased by his brother, John Maguire. He leaves behind his children, Audrey McRose and Trevor Maguire. Richard also leaves behind an array of friends and colleagues who would all, in simple terms, describe Rick as a "Great guy." He was a unique and talented musician, later in life focusing on his solo musical projects as "Rico Petroleum". He found peace in the quiet of freshwater fishing. Rick was always the smartest person in the room, but his character never compelled him to let others in on it. Those familiar with Rick would know about his sense of humor – it was hard not to smile right along with him.   He was fearless, funny, and puzzling and he is missed by many.

As per his wishes, there will be no formal services. If mourners feel inclined, they may offer a donation to a charity of their own choosing in Rick's memory.
