Richard Millen Obituary

Of Natick, passed away April 30, 2021. Beloved husband to Carol Anne Louise Millen for 58 years; son to the late Agnes and Frederick Millen of Newton, MA; son-in-law to the late Angela Rizzo of Wellesley, MA; father to Eric Millen and wife Alba Stella Millen of Natick, daughter Anne Millen Porter and husband Mark Porter, also of Natick, daughter Noelle Keefe and husband Jim Keefe of Framingham, and grandfather to Calvin, Grace, Ethan, Jackson, Alexandra, and Lena. Predeceased by siblings/siblings-in-law, Charles and Ruthie Millen, Alyce and Joe Sostilio, Barbara Berkholder, and George Rizzo, Richard is also survived by his brother Frederick and sister-in-law Gisela Millen of Florida, sister-in-law Janice Rizzo of Natick, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Richard completed his secondary education with the first-ever graduating class of Babson College in Wellesley, MA. He was graduated from Babson with the High Distinction of being the No. 1 Accounting Major and was also a member of the Blue Key Honor Society. In his career, he worked as a CPA, corporate controller, and in other financial management positions with Haskins & Sells, Itek, GenRad, Wang Laboratories, and Invensys.

Richard will be remembered as a quiet, gentle soul with a passion for playing golf at his Sky Meadow Club in New Hampshire, telling classic “Dad” jokes (and laughing so hard he could barely deliver the punchlines), traveling the world, and spending time with his family and friends.
