Robert Laurence Hubbard, 88, of Natick, MA, passed away, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston.
He was the husband of the late Jeanne C. (Rice) Hubbard.
Born in Norwood, MA, he was the son of the late Laurence C. and Lois L. (Senter) Hubbard. Robert graduated from Natick High School in 1953, where he was a member of the football team.
Robert had worked as a printed circuit board designer for Raytheon and Data General for more than 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army where he spent two years stationed in Germany, during the Korean war. He enjoyed attending his child’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, hiking, cross country camping trips, jogging, even running the Boston Marathon. He had a passion for bowling and participated in local leagues throughout his life.
He is survived by a son, Christopher M. Hubbard and his wife Sarah of Natick, MA, three grandchildren, Jack, Sam and Beatrix and his companion, Nancy Oney of Northboro, MA. He was also the brother of the late Donald A. Hubbard.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 10-11AM in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., NATICK COMMON. A graveside service will follow at 11:30AM in Dell Park Cemetery, Pond St., Natick.
