Robert J Powers

Robert J. Powers of Murrells Inlet, SC., passed away, Saturday, December 9, 2023. Robert was born in Natick, Mass.

He was predeceased by his mother: Anna G. Powers and father: Arthur F. Powers, and two brothers: Richard Powers and Arthur Powers. Robert leaves his loving wife, Penny of 56 years; son: Robert (Melissa) Powers; daughter: Kimberly (Tim) Oakes and three grandchildren: Tyler, Jordan, and Corey Powers; his sisters-in-laws: Mary Ann Powers,  Sandra Powers, Pat (Larry) Bing, Peg Donovan and Paula (Mark) Fields, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was well known for his sense of humor and smart remarks. Robert enjoyed golfing with the “hackers”, gardening, reading, and riding in the Roadster with Penny.

From Penny, "The love of my life is gone. Robert passed early this morning, December 9. We had 56 years of growing up and old; two great kids (and spouses) and three terrific grandchildren who will miss him as much as I. He was a favorite of his brothers/sisters-in-law as well as many of his friends. He had a wicked sense of humor and always a smart remark. He will be sorely missed. Goodbye HB."

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:00 am in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Natick. A visitation will be held in the funeral home from 9 am - 10 am.
