Rocco Sansevero, longtime resident of Natick, passed away peacefully at home on May 12th, 2026, at the age of 92. Rocco was born on September 22, 1933 to the late Antonio and Rose Sansevero, immigrants from Filetto, Italy.

Rocco is survived by his beloved wife, Frances ‘Fran’, to whom he was married for nearly 70 years; his daughters, Dorothy, Diana and Denise; sons in-law, Brian, Bruce and David; grandchildren, Nathan, Ian, Connor, Jillian, Julia, Anna, Christina and Malina; and great-grandson, Colson. 

Rocco spent most of his childhood and early adult years in Brighton, where he met the love of his life, Frances (Baird). After their marriage in 1956, they moved to Fort Huachuca, Arizona where Rocco completed his service in the U.S. Army. This was the beginning of many travels they were fortunate to have during their life together. 

Rocco cared greatly about his community, his home, and most of all, his wife and family. He was known for the love notes he left Fran throughout the house on birthdays and holidays. Rocco was a devoted father and shared a deep closeness with his daughters which only grew stronger with time. ‘Papa’ was adored by his 8 grandchildren and great-grandson. He shared a special and unique bond with each of them. 

Rocco was strong, resilient, and selfless. He valued his routine and continued working into his 80s. Rocco viewed the ever-changing world with curiosity and amazement. Up until his final days, you could find him up early each morning reading the paper with his coffee. He kept his mind sharp – always ready to converse about history, current events, and of course the Red Sox. He loved having visitors and always walked you to your car to say goodbye, waving while you drove away.

Rocco felt like a fortunate man. He was filled with gratitude to have spent the majority of his life in good health surrounded by his loving family. A private celebration of life will be held by his family at a later date.
