Sergio Raffi, of Ashland, formerly of Villa Zermani, Bore, Parma, Italy, passed away peacefully with his family at his side, on August 13th, 2026 at the age of 80 after a battle with cancer. He immigrated to Natick, Massachusetts in 1963.

He was a carpenter at Boston College for many years, beginning his career in carpentry building homes around Metrowest. He enjoyed building, including his and his family's homes. Those who knew Sergio could find him fishing, or strolling around the Hopkinton Reservoir. He enjoyed gardening, and was known for his perfect tomatoes. He often made his own wine in his home. Sergio could always be trusted to help others with his many skills. His commitment and dedication touched the lives of those in his community.

He would often visit his home village of Zermani in Italy, where he would spend time with friends and family who still live there. During every visit he would climb Mount Carameto, a feat he completed with pride each time. 

Sergio was the beloved husband of Maria (Ferretti) Raffi, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Virginio and Graziosa Raffi. He was the proud father of Eric Raffi and his wife, Stacey, of Holliston, and Kevin Raffi and his wife Corey, of Shrewsbury. He was predeceased by seven siblings, and is survived by sisters Alba, Nina, and Paola. He was the cherished “Nonno” to Matthew and Mia, and “Grampy” to Ryan and Kyle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Funeral from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park St Natick Common on Wednesday August 19th at 9am.  Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church 44 East Central Street (rt. 135) Natick at 10am.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick.  Visiting Hours on Tuesday August 18th from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
