Steven Aultz Obituary

Steven Adam Aultz, 52, of Natick, passed away on December 11, 2024.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Katherine (Riddell) Aultz and his cherished daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Aultz, both of Natick. He is also survived by his adoring mother, Victoria (Hess) Butters and her husband, James, of Woburn and his loving sister, Shana Sullivan of Woburn.

He is survived by his step-mother, Rhonda Aultz, and his step-brothers, Matthew and Christopher Aultz, all of Pennsylvania.

Steven is predeceased by his father, Steven E. Aultz, formerly of Pennsylvania.

Born in Lewistown, Pennsylvania on February 13, 1972, he was a graduate of Woburn High School. He went on to attend Gordon College and Clark University’s Computer Career Institute where he became a Certified Network Engineer. He then began his career in the information technology field at John Hancock. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Charles River, a State Street Bank Company, where he was VP – IT Engineering.

Steven enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like his solitude and privacy alongside his wife and daughter in the comfort of their own home and backyard oasis listening to the bubbling waterfall, taking in the sound of rustling leaves lying in his hammock or watching their goldfish swim around effortlessly in the pond with a hot cup of coffee or tea. He enjoyed a great cut of meat grilling outdoors in warmer weather listening to almost any genre of music on a high-quality speaker while sipping a smooth bourbon, whiskey, or beer. He appreciated watching a good comedy series or movie with his family. He loved snuggling with their doggie, Cassie, enjoying her silly, fun-loving spirit and the family cat, Munchkin. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico at least once a year and loved visiting anywhere that was warm. He enjoyed his downtime fostering his love of learning through YouTube videos about computers or anything high tech and visiting friends and family on the Jersey Shore, the Outer Banks and his Aultz family in Pennsylvania. He enjoyed researching the “best deal” on a product before he purchased, and others relied on his intelligence and knowledge of all things high tech or IT related.

Those that know Steven will miss his dry sarcastic quick wit especially as he used it quite frequently to lighten the mood of a stressful or serious situation. He gave us perspective to take life less seriously. We will miss his wry little smirks, his silly faces while trying to take a picture, his helpful generous nature and his protective steadfast love for his friends and family. Steven would often drop what he was he was doing to help a friend, family member or neighbor with a computer problem or whatever issue they were facing. He had a calm, confident, loving, and reassuring presence to him that will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Steven’s life will be planned for a later date and will be announced on www.everettfuneral.com at that time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Steven’s name to Sweet Paws Rescue: Sweet Paws Rescue or 310 Main Street, Groveland, MA 01834.
