Steven Heffron Obituary

Born December 19th, 1962 of Sherborn, MA was a talented, caring, optimistic man who enjoyed the little things in life. He could be found most mornings staring out the window enjoying a cup of hot coffee, contemplating the day.

Steven studied to be a carpenter and had a long career perfecting his skills.  He called himself a “Doctor of Carpentry.” Many homes in and around this community and beyond benefited from Steven’s craftsmanship, attention to detail, and incredible work ethic. His skills, which extended far beyond carpentry, included a unique ability to diagnose a car or house issue in a 30 second phone call, fix a leaking pipe, repair his children’s toys, or skillfully fix just about anything imaginable.

Besides his family, Steven’s next greatest love in life were animals. Over his life he rescued many dogs and quickly became the favorite person of almost every dog he met. He was particularly known for helping animals in need and doing whatever was necessary to make sure his animals were comfortable, happy, and well fed. The family always joked that when he retired he would open up a hospice for dogs.

Steven and his wife, Stephanie (Angiulo) met in Junior High School and started dating in 1986.  In the last 35 years they lived, loved, matured, married, laughed, fought, endured challenges, raised 3 girls and many animals and gained a depth of friendship, understanding, respect, and love for one another they both hold dear.

His beloved daughters Melissa, Gabrielle, and Brianna will remember him for goofing around with them, being first in line when they needed a favor, spoiling them every Christmas (and every other day of the year), waiting on them hand and foot, and always answering the phone whether they needed him to pick them up in the middle of the night or just needed to talk.

Steven passed away quite suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021.  In addition to his wife and 3 children he leaves behind his 2 dogs Riley and Lulu, his mother and father, Francis and Dora Heffron, sisters Debbie Lavalle and Patty Bolack and brother Michael Heffron, many nieces and nephews, and the true love of his life, his 1970 El Camino SS!!  Steven had recently restored the El Camino himself and had the pleasure of taking it out many times cruising around on recent summer days.

An indoor/outdoor Celebration of Life will be held at the Dover American Legion: 32 Dedham Street, Dover MA 02030 on Friday, September 24th from 3-6pm.  Masks will be required indoors.
