Steven G. Pennett, 67, formerly of South Natick, MA, passed away on July 8, 2026, after a battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Born in Medford, MA, on July 1, 1959, he was the eighth of eleven children of the late Lawrence R. Pennett and Gertrude E. Pennett-Smith.

He is survived by his sons, Jason Pennett and his fiancée Holly Bono of Half Moon Bay, CA, and Steven W. Pennett of Southborough, MA, as well as his siblings, Larry Pennett of Ormond Beach, FL, Norman and Kim Pennett of Hopedale, MA, Jeffrey and Cathy Pennett of Spring Hill, FL, Judy and John Donnelly of Woburn, MA, and Richard Pennett and Cheryl Sexton of Southborough, MA. He was predeceased by brothers James and Jon Pennett of Ormond Beach, FL, and sisters Candi Pennett of Holliston, MA, Coralee Money of Ohio, and Anne Thompson of Bellingham, MA. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In his younger years, Steven worked for Duralectra before retiring to Ormond Beach. Growing up in South Natick by the Charles River Falls, he loved fishing from early morning until catching "the big one," spending time with friends at the "wall," dirt biking in the woods, and swimming in the ponds. Known for his social nature, Steven made friends everywhere and will be deeply missed.

Visiting Hours at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm followed by a prayer service led by Rev. Nicholas Ciccone at 3:30 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held following services at 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Natick Amvets Post 79, 79 Superior Drive, Natick. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private.
