Susan Irene (Garvey) Fell

Susan Irene (Garvey) Fell of Centerville, formerly of Natick, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Friday, October 25, 2024. 

Known for her unwavering optimism and bright spirit, Susan inspired those around her to embrace life’s joys. Her infectious laughter and kindhearted nature warmed the hearts of everyone she met. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Susan dedicated her life to uplifting others, believing in the power of positivity and love — and she extended this gift helping others in various roles including Homemaker for the VNA and many volunteer positions. 

She was the beloved wife of James Michael Fell; the amazing mother of Susie Ehlen and her husband Christopher, James Fell and his wife Thais, Kimberly Cella and her husband David, Patrick Fell and his wife Katia, and Michael Fell and his wife Melissa.

She relished her role as Grammy to Jamie, Casey, Caroline, Graycen, Jack, Kensley, Brad, Thomas, Logan, George, Evelyn, and Stella, always showering them with laughter, love and endless trips to ice cream and candy stores. 

The cherished sister of Mary Smith and her husband Sidney, Jane Boyle and her husband John, Brenda Parker and her husband Edgar, Harold Garvey and his wife Martha. And beloved sister-in-law to Cynthia Peterson and her husband Kurt, Deborah Lepoutre and her husband Richard, Sheila Clark and her husband Neil, and Pamela Platz and her husband Douglas. Susan was born to Thomas Harold and Mary (Grady) Garvey on March 1, 1948, in Natick, where she lived for the first half of her life.

Spending the last 40 years on Cape Cod, Susan loved living by the ocean and walking around with sand in her shoes. Always there when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance — her smile will live in our hearts forever. 

A visiting hour will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Wednesday October 30th from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Natick.
