Susan Hughes Obituary
Susan Allen Hughes, 77 of Farmington CT, and formerly of Natick, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 22, 2023, she was the widow of Donald E. Hughes.
Born in Grosse Pointe, MI, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marjorie (Morris) Allen. Susan was a longtime Natick, MA resident before moving to Connecticut in 2019. Susan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crafts, gardening, book club, and especially enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod with walks on the beach.
Surviving are her children, Robert Swartz and his fiance Shawnna Kelly of Berlin, CT, Tracey Orciuch and her husband Joe of Bourne, MA; grandchildren Andrew and Amanda Orciuch. In addition to her parents and husband, Susan was predeceased by a brother Ted Allen, and her very special canine companion Maggie.. The family would like to thank Anthology of Farmington CT for the loving care they provided her the past two and a half years.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday March 1, 2023 at 1:30pm, Glenwood Cemetery, 25 Glenwood Street, Natick, MA 01760. Memorial donations can be made to Dogstar Rescue of Bloomfield, CT.
