Theresa "Terry" Ames, 74, of Natick, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026. Born on December 18, 1951, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Emma Ames.

Terry dedicated over 20 years of her professional life to Newton-Wellesley Primary Care prior to her retirement, having previously served her community for many years at Leonard Morse Hospital. Outside of work, Terry loved to travel, cruising with friends and trips to Florida with family and later to OOB and Florida with close friends.

A woman of deep faith, Terry was an active and devoted member of the Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church. She deeply loved her church family and was blessed with an incredible circle of special friends who became like family, offering unwavering love and support through her health challenges over the years.

Terry’s greatest joy in life was her family, alongside her beloved mini-schnauzer, Skippy. Her most treasured moments were spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She especially loved Christmas, a season that truly captured her spirit. Her family will forever cherish the memories of decorating the tree, baking together, and watching Hallmark movies by her side. When you think of Christmas, think of Terry! Her warmth will always be remembered whenever the holiday season arrives.

She is survived by her devoted sons, Mike Jennings and his wife Marnie, and Scott Jennings and his wife Sandy. She was the proud Nana of Nicholas, Alison, Danny, and Emma (Jennings), and Cam, Lola, and Reese (Hudnall). She also leaves behind her nephew, Michael Payne and his wife Sandra of Wallingford, CT; and her dear nieces, Laurie Watkins and her husband Michael of Laconia, NH, and Peggy Ceasar and her husband Darrin of Wilmington, NC. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Robert Ames Jr., and her sister, Anne Guzzetti.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church, 106 Walnut St, Natick, MA, on Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private with the immediate family at a later date.
