Thomas Madden Obituary

NATICK – Thomas J. Madden passed away on Sunday March 20, 2022 at age 78.

Born in Boston, he moved to Natick at the age of 11 and was a proud resident of Natick for the remainder of his life. He was the son of the late Mary H. (Flaherty) and John M. Madden.  Tommy was the brother of Joan Rigueiro of Wayland, Catherine “Sissy” Fitzgibbons of Venice FL, and was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Jacobsen Mullaney, Dorothy McGhee, Helen Baldini, Patricia Azcarate, and his only brother, John M. Madden.  He is survived by his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his niece, Maria Hicklin and his nephew, Timothy Rigueiro.

Tommy was a United States Army Veteran and was a beloved School Bus Driver for Natick Bus Co. in Natick for many years. He was also a Security Officer for the Store 24 Inc. before he was in a tragic accident that left him permanently disabled. His ability to adapt and persevere will continue to be a lesson in dignity and grace for all those who came in contact with him.

Tommy was an avid New England sports fan and collector of baseball cards. He loved music and was the king of naming a tune and the artist. Family was everything to Tommy and he never missed a family gathering. His sense of humor and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
