Thomas A. Pratt

Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Uncle and Friend, Thomas A. Pratt died Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Thomas Arthur Pratt was born in Ohio before moving as a child to the Northeast for his father’s job in the military. He spent the majority of his lifetime living in Natick, MA where he grew up and went to school. In the 7th grade, he met the love of his life whom he later married and was together with for 66 years. After graduating from Natick High School, his passion for fixing things led him to attend Northeastern University where he majored in Engineering.  He was ahead of his time and as an early entrepreneur, ran businesses including: Sunoco Gas in Natick where he worked for 20 years and Tom Pratt’s Auto Care in Natick, as an owner and mechanic.  In his spare time, he loved to spend time with his wife and eight children and enjoyed visiting Port Clyde, Maine where he appreciated the quiet calm of the water. When not with his family, he displayed his artisan skills building over a dozen homes around the Natick vicinity. Even after his retirement, he had lots of energy and immersed himself in various things such as repairing and fabricating bicycles for fun. His family and friends knew him only as kind, mild-mannered and always busy. As a longstanding Natick resident, he loved living close to his large family and relished the time he got to spend with them. He was an extraordinary man with many talents and interests; he was an avid pilot and a member of the Southborough Rod and Gun Club. He will be sadly missed and always remembered for enjoying a beer with some salt sprinkled in it, which he often enjoyed after he mowed his lawn.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet A. (Frazer) Pratt, Natick and was a devoted father to Cheryl Nation and her husband Ronald of Hopkinton; Karen Libby and her husband Scott of Natick, Sharon Correia and her husband Joseph of East Providence, Kimberly Moran-McHugh and her husband Darren of Natick, Thomas of Natick, Rodney and his wife Lisa of Ashland, Richard of Natick, Victoria Russo and her husband Anthony of Shrewsbury; brother of the late Marilyn Wall.  He also leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Visiting Hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street NATICK COMMON on Friday May 14th from 2-5pm Followed by Funeral Service at 5pm.  Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
