Timothy Hart Obituary

56, of Framingham died on Sunday, January 12th, 2020 after a courageous 15 month battle with glioblastoma.  Devoted husband of Kristen Haack and pet parent of Ollie and Yoyo.  Born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Tim was the fifth of five children and loved by his siblings Linda, Norma, Ronnie, and Ricky.  He was the youngest son of the late Norman and Eva Hart.  He was the uncle to many nieces and nephews – many older than him which he never let them forget. Tim is also survived by many lifelong friends who are like family including Craig Gordiner and Tom Rizzo.

Visiting Hours in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street NATICK COMMON on Monday January 20th from 12-2pm. Followed by a Funeral Service at 2pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.  Interment Private.

Tim attended Monument Mountain High School in Great Barrington, and graduated in 1986 from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Economics.  After washing dishes in the college cafeteria to pay for his tuition, Tim was recruited by Aramark Corp. after graduation.  He worked for Aramark his entire career until his illness.  He spent most of this career as a director within Aramark’s collegiate dining division – working on campuses including MIT, Stevens Institute in New Jersey, Westfield State, and Western New England University.  It was during his time at Wheelock College that he met his future wife.  After leaving Stevens, Tim came back to Massachusetts to work in the healthcare division of the company and was the General Manager of multiple state hospital food and nutrition programs across Massachusetts.

Tim had many passions including cars (mostly his beloved used Porsche), working outdoors on the yard, and fixing things around the house including a full basement renovation he did himself.  He loved things that were fast including his motorcycle, snowmobile, and boat – most of which his wife made him give up.  He cheered on the Patriots and the Red Sox as a faithful fan – and was lucky enough to see multiple victory parades down the streets of Boston.  Tim and Kristen enjoyed travel both locally and abroad including their favorite trips to London and Hawaii.  They travelled each summer to places like Portsmouth NH, Portland ME, and Mystic CT – often with Tim’s sister-in-law Kim and brother-in-law Christian.  Tim’s many basic pleasures included frequent watching of the History channel and bad action movies, a large, light, two sugars at Dunkin’s, spooning with Ollie and Yoyo, and a cold Bud Light.

Tim fought his brave battle against glioblastoma for 15 months.  He endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and infusions and rarely complained.  His wonderful medical team at Tufts Medical Center stood by his side the whole way, and for that, his family is deeply grateful.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Timothy’s name may be made to: The Glioblastoma Foundation, P.O.Box 62066, Durham, NC 27715 or www.glioblastomafoundation.org
