Viola T (Carroll) Cole

Viola T. (Carroll) Cole, 98 of Natick passed away on November 15, 2022. Daughter of the late John & Ellen Carroll, beloved wife of the late Robert J. Cole, sister of the late Mary Carter of West Yarmouth, and John (Jay) Carroll of Milford. Viola leaves behind her son James Cole of Holliston, her daughter Judy Goss and her husband Darin of Natick, two wonderful and loving grandchildren Brendon Goss and Kristin Goss of Natick.

A graduate of Natick High class of 1943, Vi was born in Boston and lived in Natick all her life. She worked as a bookkeeper at FW Woolworth for 14 years, then as a waitress at the Wellesley Country Club for 40 years. Vi had great memories of Bobby Orr’s 27th birthday celebration at the Country Club.

Vi loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had many hobbies including knitting, crocheting, crafts, and making her famous “Winnie the Pooh” stuffed animals. She was a great fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, and especially the Boston Bruins. Vi belonged to Saint Patrick’s Parish, Adoration Chapel, Natick Women’s Club, Knitting Club at the Senior Center, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her vacations in Wells Beach, Maine, and her great trips to Paris, London, Myrtle Beach, Florida, and to Tipperary, Ireland to visit her Mother’s family and cousins with whom she kept in contact.

Funeral from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street NATICK COMMON on Monday Nov. 28th at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church 44 East Central Street (Rt 135) Natick at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick. Visiting Hours on Sunday Nov 27th from 4pm-6pm, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Viola may be made to Natick Service Council 2 Webster St Natick, MA 01760.
