Virginia Nagles Obituary

Of Ashland passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 with family by her side after recent declining health.

She was the daughter of the late John F. Nagles and Margaret M. (Hurley).  Devoted mother of Michael J. Nagles of Ashland.  She is survived by her siblings Patricia Nagles of Jacksonville FL, Kathy Murray and her husband Jeff of Hartford ME, Maureen St. Amand and her husband Michael of Eufaula OK, John F. Nagles of Gardner, Mary Nagles and her partner Walter Kenney of Framingham, Christine E. Russell and her husband Ken of Saugus.  Ginny was preceded in death by her brothers, William Nagles and James Nagles.  Additionally, Ginny is survived by nieces Erin O’Leary, Danielle (St. Amand) Cashat, Iris Russell, and great nephews/niece Anthony Frisoli, John Frisoli, Sophia Cashat, and James Cashat.

She grew up in Natick, and attended Natick Schools.  Ginny worked at Zayre Corp. for many years as well as SunLife, Source Corp and New York Life.  She did volunteer work for Ashland’s Fire Department and Public Library.

Back in the day Ginny had lots of fun playing on the Zayre interoffice softball and bowling leagues as well as water skiing over the summers.  She enjoyed family vacations over the years on various lakes in New Hampshire and Maine, also many camping trips.  The game Pictionary was a big hit on several of those vacations.

Christmas family get togethers were a source of delight and Ginny always took extra steps to make the gatherings very special.

In her retirement Ginny loved starting the day with a hot cup of tea and reading a few chapters from a good book or two or three.  She enjoyed going for walks with her dog Gus.

Ginny never lost her pleasure of swimming.  She went to several beaches up and down the coast weekly to get in the water for a swim.

Ginny we love you and will miss you for the rest of our lives.
