Wei Yang, 80, of Natick, born in ShanXi, China, then moved with his parents to Taipei, Taiwan at age 4, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Anchen Lin; adoring father of Hung-I Jessie Yang and her husband John Guan; Hung-Hsin Yang and her husband Willy Ci; doting grandfather of Vivian and James Guan, and Mia and Emma Ci.
Wei Yang married his high school sweetheart Anchen Lin in 1968 and graduated from Shih Hsin University, Department of Journalism in Taiwan.
His first job was not in journalism but as a sales supervisor of a cement company in Asia Cement Corp division under Far Eastern Group in Taipei, Taiwan. He then joined DACIN Construction Co., Ltd. as Vice President. In his mid 40’s, he opened his own company, DACIN Private Ltc. to sell fireproof related products. At age 55, in 1999, he was invited to return to Far Eastern Group as President of YaLi Precast Prestressed Concrete Industries Corp. He was also the Chairman of YaLi Precast Concrete India Private Ltd., where the first underground MRT train tunnel was built in New Delhi, India.
After a long and successful working life, Wei Yang retired at age 70. He loved his family and friends who enjoyed his great sense of humor. Travel, photography, food, wine, reading, and music were only some of his passions in life. He sang in a choir for many years, and had the honor of being invited to perform in Vienna, Austria and Czech Republic, Prague. Wei was optimistic, generous, and always eager to help others with his big heart. He was also a meticulous dresser who cared very much about his appearance! Wei was a big supporter of the Red Cross in Taiwan, where he donated blood over 70 times. Wei gave of himself to others in so many ways and lived life to the fullest. We miss him so much!

A Buddhist prayer service will be held at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Wednesday May 22 from 10:15am - 11:10am followed by funeral memorial service from 11:15am - 1:00pm.
