Of Natick passed away at home on Monday June 7, 2021 at age 96.
Son of the late Joseph Angus Bartlett and Grace (Ragon) Bartlett. Beloved husband of the late Bettina (Jones) Bartlett. Devoted father of Jayne Bartlett of Natick, and Laurie Chalmers and her husband Peter of Marlborough. Brother of Natalie Voisine of Millinocket ME, and the late Geneva, Joseph Jr., Arthur, and Paul Bartlett, Amy Luce, Reta French, Marion Latimer, and Jean McGowan. Proud grandfather of Abigail Kristiansen and her husband Erik, Skye Chalmers and her fiancée Amanda Flower, Joseph Chalmers, and great-grandfather of Lucas Kristiansen.
Jim was a United States Army Air Corps, WW II Veteran, and a Senior Past Master of Amicable Lodge in Cambridge. Jim was a retired accountant and tutor with Project Literacy. He enjoyed sailing, spending time with his grand kids, going on long drives, serving with the food pantry, singing in Musicals and Choirs, and anything sweet to eat.
To celebrate Jim’s 96 Years the family asks that attendees wear happy colors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the Boston Church of Christ, 216 Concord Street, Framingham on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 11:30 AM, followed by interment at Glenwood Cemetery, Natick. Visiting hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON on Friday June 11, 2021 from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Jim’s memory to Hope World Wide Food Pantry, 214 Concord Street Framingham, MA, 01702, or LVM Literacy Unlimited at the Framingham Public Library .
