William F. Coughlin of Natick passed away on May 25, 2023.
Devoted husband of the late Evelyn (Langan) Coughlin. Cherished father to Deb Linton and Colleen Mortarelli of Natick and the late Brian Coughlin. Loving father in law to Brian Linton and Mark Mortarelli. Proud grandfather of Brian, Kevin, Louie, James, Joseph, Michael and Erin. Brother of Frank Coughlin, Miriam “Mimi” Leen, and the late Frances “Foozie” Frank, Michael and Thomas Coughlin. Son of the late William and Frances (Farrington) Coughlin.
Bill graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1965. He was a huge fan of the Fighting Irish as well as the Natick RedHawks football teams. He enjoyed cheering for his grandkids at all of their sporting events and loved hosting family and friends by his backyard pool. He was a teacher and coach for many years at Arlington Catholic and then Minuteman Tech in Lexington, MA. He coached golf and was a MA Hall of Fame football coach.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Parish in St. Zepherin’s Church 99 Main Street Wayland on Tuesday May 30th at 10:30am. Interment afterwards at Holyhood Cemetery, Chestnut Hill followed by food and spirits at the Villa in Wayland.
